2024-2025 USAP Field Season
Event Numbering System
Every USAP project is assigned a unique event number consisting of three parts: A prefix indicating the USAP program funding the effort, a project number,
and a suffix denoting the location where field work will take place. If field work takes place at more than one location the event number will indicate this
with multiple suffixes separated by a slash.
Sample Event Number
In the example above, the project would be funded by the Astrophysics and Geospace Sciences program, have a project number of 100,
and would consist of field work to be performed at or near McMurdo Station.
