Through a grant to the Institute of Arctic Studies at Dartmouth College, OPP supports two opportunities for U.S. high-school students to travel to the polar regions and participate in hands-on and inquiry-based science activities.

The Joint Antarctic School Expedition (JASE), a program jointly sponsored by the Chilean Antarctic Institute’s Expedición Antártica Escolar, takes students to Antarctica.

This year’s Antarctic visit was recently completed and included a tour of Torres del Paine National Park, Puerto del Hambre and facilities of the Instituto Antártico Chileno (Chilean Antarctic Institute/INACH) on King George Island.
